2. In short
Expirella stores your deadlines, receipts and settings only on your iPhone. We run no server, have no user accounts, use no analytics or advertising tools and receive none of your data. We can neither see nor restore your entries.
3. Data the app processes on your device

- Camera and photos: The app uses the camera only when you scan a receipt, and only the photos you pick. Text recognition runs on the device (Apple Vision); images are never uploaded.
- Notifications: Reminders are local notifications scheduled by your iPhone. There are no server push notifications.
- Exports: When you export your data as CSV, JSON, a calendar file or PDF, you decide where the file goes (e.g. via the share sheet). From then on the terms of that destination apply.
- Device backups: If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, the app's data is included. You control these backups in your iPhone settings; Apple's terms apply.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled entirely by Apple's App Store. Apple processes payment and account data as an independent controller; see Apple's privacy policy. The app only learns from Apple whether a purchase is valid and receives no payment or personal data.
5. No sharing, no tracking
We do not share or sell data, do not track you across apps or websites and use no third-party analytics, advertising or crash reporting services. If you choose "Share with App Developers" in your iPhone settings, Apple may provide developers with anonymised crash and usage statistics; you control this with Apple.
6. Your rights
Because we receive no personal data from you, we cannot disclose, correct or delete it. You stay in full control: delete entries in the app, export your data, or delete the app (which removes all of its data from the device). For questions, contact us at the address in section 1. You may also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local data protection authority.
7. Changes
If the app ever changes so that data leaves your device (e.g. a later family sharing feature via iCloud), we will update this policy beforehand and point it out in the app.
8. This website
expirella.app sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and loads no content from third parties; the fonts are served from this website as well. To deliver the pages, the hosting provider Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages) processes technically necessary access data (IP address, time, requested page, browser type) in server logs, which are deleted after [retention period]. If you open answers in the FAQ, your browser remembers which ones, in its own storage on your device; this information is never sent to us.
9. Contact by e-mail
If you write to us, for example at [email protected], we use your e-mail address and message only to answer you, and delete them when they are no longer needed for that, unless we are legally required to keep them. Please don't send us receipts or contracts unless we ask for them.
